Biographical sketch
As an Associate Professor of Geology at USM, my teaching responsibilities include: (i) Physical Geology / Lab, (ii) Geomorphology / Lab, (iii) Sedimentology / Lab, (iv) Soils, (v) Hydrology, (vi) Geological Field & Research Methods, (vii) Field Geology, (viii) Sedimentary Environments, and (ix) Gulf Coast Geology. My recent research projects include: (a) sedimentary characteristics and carbon / nutrient sequestration in floodplains of the Lower Mississippi River near Natchez, (b) estuarine shoreline erosion & nearshore sedimentation, (c) knickpoint erosion and channel evolution along Bayou Pierre, Mississippi, and (d) hydrologic monitoring at the Lake Thoreau Environmental Center.
