Biographical sketch
Anthony Vedral is an Extension Associate and Ph.D. student at the Mississippi State University Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi, MS. His research focus includes marine debris, microplastics, wetlands conservation, and wetlands ecology. Anthony’s extension work involves coordinating the youth version of the Mississippi Master Naturalist program titled Mississippi Student Naturalist, and the Plan-it Marsh program, a hands-on high school wetlands education and restoration program. Anthony received an M.S. in Marine Science from the University of Alabama and a B.S. in Biology from Spring Hill College. He has previously worked as a high school science teacher, and as an education coordinator and aquarist for the International Game Fish Association.
