Biographical sketch
I graduated from Nicholls State University in May '20 with a Bachelors of Biology with double concentrations in Marine & Environmental. I studied the migration of larval fish to newly constructed marsh terraces during my senior year of undergrad.
I now work as an Extension Program Assistant at the Mississippi State Extension Center where I am pursuing a masters degree in wildlife, fisheries, & aquaculture. I will be focusing on nekton.
My background is largely coastal ecology and restoration practices. I worked on a farm at Nicholls where we cultivated restoration plants for mass plantings. I have also dabbled in fisheries through volunteering with University of Miami where I helped with shark research. I also worked as an aquarist for Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. I was also part of a few contracts to collect fish for Entergy to test fish in the MS River for radiation during my time at Nicholls.
