Biographical sketch
I am a hydrologist with research interests in forest hydrology, biogeochemistry, and response of ecosystem processes to local, regional, and global climate change. Using my background as a physical geographer, I seek to understand the complex dynamics between forests and their surrounding environments across spatial and temporal scales. My lab conducts experiments across diverse forest systems to investigate the role of forest canopies in altering the quantity and quality of rainwater that reaches the forest floor, how that influences soil biogeochemistry, how these fluxes are controlled by meteorological and climatological conditions, and how these fluxes respond to natural and anthropogenic disturbances.
