Biographical sketch
I am pursuing my Masters degree at Louisiana State University in the School of Renewable Natural Resources studying the salinity tolerance of oysters through a field study and by generating spatial map layers depicting environmental conditions relevant to oyster survival using ArcGIS and Google Earth Engine.
I graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2019 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Environmental Studies. While a student, I was employed for three years in the Office of Residence Life as well as being actively involved in research and teaching assistantships on campus. I also participated in a study tour to Bimini Island, Bahamas in 2016 to study dolphin behavior, studied abroad in Townsville, Australia in 2018, presented my senior thesis on clam abundance and biomass shifts over a fifteen-year period in Anchorage, Alaska in 2019, and conducted directed research on sea anemones and their associated organisms on Carrie Bow Cay, Belize in 2019.
My career goals include earning my PhD in coastal ecology and finding a career where I can make a difference in the environment and in people's lives.
