Biographical sketch
Joann Mossa is a Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Florida. Her research and teaching interests concern rivers and coasts. My group works primarily with human impacts in rivers and floodplains, with a geographic and topical focus on large rivers of the U.S. Gulf Coastal Plain. We use GIS, LiDAR, remote sensing, field (sonar, sediment, etc.) and historical data to explain problems in these settings.
