Biographical sketch
I am the Stranding Coordinator for the Alabama Marine Mammal Stranding Network based at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. I coordinate marine mammal (dolphins, whales, manatees) stranding responses in the state of Alabama and manatee responses in the state of Mississippi. I am interested in anatomy and physiology of marine mammals, identifying causes of death in stranded marine mammals especially human interaction, live animal response and rehabilitation, as well as osteology of marine mammals. I studied at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and have been at the Sea Lab for 2.5 years.
